The new Helsinki Quartet’s Anniversary series
The new Helsinki Quartet was founded in 1982. In 2022 the quartet celebrated its 40th anniversary with a concert tour across Finland.
The New Helsinki Quartet had a close and long collaboration with composer Jouni Kaipainen whose works have an essential role in the quartet’s repertoire. In addition to Kaipainen their programs include quartets by Seppo Pohjola, Haydn, Bartók, Janáček, Brahms, Webern and Beethoven.
